Inner Kid

"I don't know anyone who likes colors as much as you do," my boyfriend recently said to me, probably because I had just exclaimed, "Colors!!" or something similar. That was one of the best compliments I've ever gotten. Thanks, honey!

I feel that my exuberant love of colors is a good indication that my inner four-year-old is alive and well. My boss mentioned that he was taking his toddler daughters to the Crayola factory, and I asked, "Are adults allowed to go on the tour just, you know, on their own? I'd like to see the crayons being made. Are there, you know, crayon samples that maybe I'd get?" And just a few weeks ago I sorted out my box of 96 crayons that has been a personal treasure since sixth grades. Sigh. Colors.

I think that the other sign that my inner kid is alive and well is my love for BUGS! So colors and bugs together ... delight! I had a real treat today by spending a few minutes in the garden outside my office. Being open to the wonders of colors and bugs is true joy to me.
