Love this! Great way to frame a photograph with the benches providing a bottom "ledge" to the vantage point and drawing you in towards the conical shape of the trees. Nice work ... Especially because so many people automatically tend to shoot landscape orientation rather than portrait when shooting outdoor subjects, as if it doesn't even occur to them to occasionally go for a more vertical perspective. Of course, I like the cool purple and blue tones too.
I don't get it, you move from Shrimptown and the city gets hammered with multiple snowstorms within your first month? You know the city's mayor today noted that it's the snowiest January since records have been kept? Enjoy it ... Because something tells me that the sweltering heat of summer in the city is going to make this a vague and distant memory!

I know, it's terribly exciting! We had a snow day today and I got to really tromp through it in the park. I LOVE portrait orientation - I probably use it a little too much, actually! I love your helpful and interesting comments!
